Department of Engineering Physics
Department of Engineering Physics
In the Department of Engineering Physics, three courses have been established to emphasize physics (electromagnetism, quantum physics, optics, etc.) as the foundation of engineering, namely the Information Electronic Engineering Course, the Measurement Control Engineering Course and the Physical Engineering of Matter Course. These courses strive to nurture practical ability through experiments in each field, with seminars and computer training utilizing the latest laboratory equipment. In order for students to acquire the fundamentals of science and technology, it is necessary for them to have the ability to completely grasp a subject, to possess superior analytical skills, and to maintain a flexible approach. In this Department, engineers and researchers are trained to deal flexibly with a wide range of industrial fields, among them leading edge technology industries such as electronics, electric machinery, communications, metals, materials and computers.
This Department ceased recruitment from 2000.
