Department of International Relations
About the Department of International Relations
The Department of International Relations gives a more specialized and in-depth insight into the field of international relations. Students are taught to develop a versatile and open-minded approach to the subject through 3 courses: 'International Politics and Law', 'International Economics' and 'International Cooperation'. For purposes of study, the globe is divided into 8 regions, each course then focusing on both the course subject and language of each area. In addition to attaining a deeper and more complete understanding of the world's regions, specialized study, which begins from the second year, prepares Chubu University graduates for work in various fields in the international community.
Great importance is also placed on foreign language ability. The Language Center, equipped with the latest language-learning devices and supported by an accomplished non-Japanese foreign language teaching staff, not only improves the English language ability of the students, but also actively promotes the study of other foreign languages.
