Food Consortium Center
Promoting the development of professional human resources to contribute to the restoration and improvement of the food environment
A joint project of Chubu University and Nagoya University, “Food Consortium for Food Safety and Dietary Education,” was selected as the 2009 MEXT “Support Project for Strategic University Collaborations toward University Education Enhancement.”
In recent years, food safety problems (food additives, residual agricultural chemicals, environmental hormones, avian influenza, false labeling, etc.) have garnered considerable attention. To address these problems as well as to promote food education, including basic education for children on nutrition and production systems and the proliferation of food culture, Chubu University is committed to developing professional human resources. To this end, the University is working on developing specialized curricula and teaching materials for undergraduate and graduate courses.
The University is committed to enriching and enhancing higher education in close collaboration with local authorities, businesses and communities.
