Research Institute for Industry and Economics

Surveying the Region's Vital Industries

The Research Institute for Industry and Economics surveys and monitors the changing management and economic trends which determine the direction local industry takes, with special focus on research into Industry & Information, Industry & Training, and Industry & the Community (Industry's relationship with the Education System).
The Department's 10 staff members are working to clarify the various issues relating to each research topic, their efforts not limited to collaborative research with only local agencies and businesses, but also extending to overseas investigative research.
A core aspect of The Research Institute's activities to further its research is to hold public symposia, lectures and research meetings. The findings are released in the form of videos of the lectures and public research meetings held by the Institute, in addition to publication in pamphlet form, and in the Institute's annual publication Kiyo, and are also sent out nationwide to some 400 national universities, and research bodies.
