Contemporary EducationEnabling students with the practical skills and humanity needed to work in childcare and education, as we entrust them with our children and our futuree Department of Early Childhood Education applies modern childcare and education theories to solve problems in real-world situations. Students will develop the skills needed to plan events for young children and to collaborate with local childcare support groups. e aim of the program is for students to obtain both a kindergarten teacher's license and a nursery teacher certicate.Early Childhood Educatione Major in Contemporary Education embraces three fundamental educational principles: scientic thinking, the power of language, and the ability to explore problems. We help our students grow and develop their strengths in the areas that match their individual aptitudes. Upon completing the program, students will be able to obtain an elementary school teaching certicate, a junior high school teaching certicate (science), and/or a special-needs school teaching certicate.Contemporary Education (Major in Contemporary Education)Students in the Major in Secondary Education of Japanese Language and Mathematics will acquire skills in active learning and other new teaching methods. ey will be able to guide the academic progress of their pupils and meet the needs of today's society and the demands of their communities. Upon comple-tion of the program, students will be eligible to obtain a junior high school teaching certicate (Japanese language and/or mathematics).Contemporary Education (Major in Secondary Education of Japanese Language and Mathematics)Science and EngineeringDeveloping and promoting education and research that integrates science and engineering, and fostering scientic and engineering professionals who will contribute to building a society that can develop sustainably.e Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences conducts education and research based on knowledge and technology in the elds of mathematical science (mathematics, data science, etc.) and physical science (physics, material science, space and earth science, etc.). Students in this department will develop the ability to learn on their own, to think freely and logically, to develop skills needed for insight and analysis, as well as the practical ability to discover and solve problems. Graduates are expected to become scientists and engineers who will be responsible for the development and innovation of a new era.Mathematical and Physical SciencesIn the Department of Articial Intelligence and Robotics, students acquire knowledge and skills that form the basis of articial intelligence (AI) and robot development in a wide range of elds, including mathematics, physics, mechanics, electrical and electronics, control systems, and soware development. Students will acquire the skills necessary to develop next-generation AI and robots that integrate and utilize knowledge and technology from multiple elds. We train scientists and engineers who can contribute to the realization of a society in which humans and robots coexist.Articial Intelligence and Roboticse Department of Astronautics and Aeronautics oers basic expertise in various elds such as uid mechanics, structural mechanics, thermodynamics, control engineering, information engineering, and electrical/electronic engineering, as well as propulsion engineering, production systems, aircra systems, rocket systems, and spacecra. We conduct education and research on interdisciplinary and complex aerospace science and engineer-ing, such as systems and space navigation, and we train scientists and engineers who will be involved in the design, development, manufacturing, and utilization of technologies in the next-generation aerospace industry.Astronautics and Aeronautics09
