Based at our Shin Hotaka mountain lodge, students deepen their interconnectedness through activi-ties such as mountain climbing, eating "Hotaka hot pot," campres, etc.Freshman Campe President's Awards Ceremony recognizes students who have made outstanding achievements in a variety of elds, including academics, research, contributions to the community, and extracurricular activities.The President’s Awards Ceremonye University Festival is a large student-run event incorporating depart-mental research exhibitions, club proj-ect presentations, food sales, etc. In the Four-Hour Bicycle Race, students com-pete not only on speed, but also on costume originality.University Festivale Volunteer and NPO Center is a student-run volunteer organization with projects focusing on disaster prepared-ness, environmental protection, social education, social welfare, and commu-nity contribution.Chubu University Volunteer and NPO Centere Chubu University Music Festival is an event both planned and performed by students from the symphonic band, mixed choir, mandolin club, orchestra, and jazz ensemble. A variety of enter-taining selections are incorporated into each performance.Chubu University Music Festivale Chubu Walk aims to help revitalize student life by creating an opportunity to "step" away from the motorized vehicles of our modern society and get out and travel on our own two feet. Participants come away with a sense of accomplishment and fulllment.Chubu Walkis traditional event celebrates students’ coming of age (age 20). e university president congratulates students on this milestone and presents them with a gi. Prominent public gures are also invited to give lectures and participate in other celebratory events.Coming-of-Age Ceremonyis interdepartmental competition is orga-nized by the student club management com-mittee in collaboration with university faculty and sta. e venue overows with energy as departments compete to dominate in each of the various categories as well as for the overall title.
