Engaging with diverse disciplines in addition to studying one’s specialized eld provides the pleasure of learning the achievements of human wisdom and also serves as a source of strength for navigating the future. It provides a basis for looking at things from multiple perspectives, including economic, social, legal, psychological, engineering, and life sciences. Since many social issues are multi-layered and complex, this will lead to the ability to look beyond academic and professional boundaries and disentangle issues from multiple perspectives. Chubu University promotes student exchange activities, study abroad, and joint research with overseas universities. Opportunities to gain international perspectives and experiences, both on and o campus, are increasing. We also oer programs for working professionals. On a campus where a diverse range of people gather to learn, converse, and strive together for mutual improvement, students can cultivate a rich sense of “humanity.” In conclusion, I hope that students will rise as truly “reliable individuals,” as envisioned by our founder, Dr. Kohei Miura, and pave the way for both society and their own future. Chubu University will provide the environment and time necessary to do so.President of Chubu UniversityMasayoshi MaeshimaEnriching Your “Humanity” throughComprehensive Learning03
