中部大学教育研究No.25(2025)―8―JournalofChubuUniversityEducationNo.25(2025)Learningexperiencesofnursingstudentsatvisitingnursestations:AQualitativeDescriptiveStudyAnalyzingNursingStudents'ReportsonNursingCareforElderlypatientswithDementiaLivingAloneSHIMOMURASarina*1,HORIINaoko*2,OJIOYasuyo*3andOTANIKagari*4*1Assistant,CenterforNursingPracticumSupport,ChubuUniversity*2Professor,DepartmentofNursing,CollegeofLifeandHealth,ChubuUniversity*3AssociateProfessor,DepartmentofNursing,CollegeofLifeandHealth,ChubuUniversity*4AssistantProfessor,CenterforNursingPracticumSupport,ChubuUniversityAbstractThatstudywastoclarifytheexperiencesofstudentswhotookcareofanolderpatientwithdementialivingaloneonnursingpracticum.Andthereportsof10nursingstudentswereanalyzed.Asaresult,thefollowingthreecategorieswereidentified:【CurrentLivingStyleofolderpatientswithDementiaLivingAlone】,【Supportforolderpatientswithdementialivingalonetocontinuetheirdailylives】,and【TeamSupportforolderpatientswithDementiaLivingAlonetoContinueTheirCurrentLifestyle】.Thestudentslearnedfromtheexperiencesofaccompanyinganurseandobservedthepatients'dailylives.Theyalsounderstoodthatitwasimportanttograspthepatients'lifestylesinordertoprovidenursingcare.Theyalsolearnedtheimportanceofdeterminingthelimitsoflivingalonefromallaspectsoftheirlives.Thatstudy'sfindingshighlightedtheimportanceoffacultymembersworkingtogetherwithnursesandothermentorstoprovidestudentswithopportunitiestolearnwaysofsupportingpatients'dailylives.KeywordsElderlylivingalone,dementia,homenursing,clinicalPracticum,nursingstudents
