中部大学教育研究No.24(2024)―12―JournalofChubuUniversityEducationNo.24(2024)VerificationofEducationalEffectivenessintheLifeCareerEducation“SelfMotivationDevelopment”:AComparisonwiththeEducationalEffectsoftheShort-TermIntensive“SelfMotivationDevelopment”SUGIMOTOHideharu*1,SATOTomomi*2andTERAZAWAAsako*3*1AssociateProfessor,FacultyofSociology,KansaiUniversity*2AssociateProfessor,InstituteofLiberalArts,KyushuInstituteofTechnology*3Professor,CollegeofBusinessAdministrationandInformationScience,ChubuUniversityAbstractTheprimaryobjectiveofthisstudywastoassesstheeducationaleffectivenessoftheLifeCareerEducationprogram,"SelfMotivationDevelopment,"duringthe2023academicyear.Asecondaryobjectivewastoelucidatetheuniqueeducationalbenefitsofthisprogrambycomparingitwithashort-termintensive"SelfMotivationDevelopment"course,deliveredovereightsessions,eachconsistingoftwoperiods.TheanalysisdemonstratedthattheLifeCareerEducationprogramconsistentlyyieldedpositivepsychologicalandeducationaloutcomesacrossthreeyears,beginningwithitsestablishmentin2021.Theseoutcomesincludedincreasedopennesstoexperience,heightenedself-esteem,improvedself-efficacyincareer-relateddecision-making,enhancedgoal-settingwithinatemporalframework,greatercareeradaptability,andthedevelopmentofcrucialinterpersonalcommunicationskills,suchasacceptanceofothersandrelationshipregulation.Furthermore,whencomparedtotheshort-termintensiveprogram,theLifeCareerEducationinitiativedemonstratedamorerobustimpactonfosteringconscientiousness,reducingneuroticism,andenhancingcuriosity,particularlywithintheframeworkofcareeradaptability.ThebroaderthematicscopeoftheLifeCareerEducationprogram,whichintegratesbothpersonalcareergrowthandsocietalroledevelopment,contributedtoitscomparativelygreaterimpactonoverallpsychologicaldevelopmentandlong-termcareerreadiness.Keywordslifecareereducation,verificationofeducationaleffects,careerdevelopment
