中部大学春日丘高校との高大連携協定にもとづく授業(英語)―73―JournalofChubuUniversityEducationNo.22(2022)EnglishClassesTaughtUndertheChubuUniversity-HaruhigaokaHighSchoolCooperationAgreementSince2019OGURISeiko*1*1Professor,LanguageProgram,GlobalEducationCenter,ChubuUniversityAbstractOvertheyears,ChubuUniversityhascollaboratedwithitsaffiliatedschoolsonavarietyofeducationalprograms.In2017,basedonacooperativeagreementwithHaruhigaokaHighSchool,ChubuUniversitybeganofferingclassesthatallowsHaruhigaokastudentstotakeaccreditedEnglishcoursesattheuniversityaheadoftheiruniversityenrollment.ThisstudyattemptstorecordhowtheEnglishprogramhasproceededfromSpring2019toSpring2022.Theprogramthatstartedwith37studentswastemporarilyclosedinSpring2020inthefaceoftheCovid-19pandemic.InFall2020,astheuseoftabletswasintroducedathighschools,remoteclasseswereconductedfor44students.With52studentsin2021,inordertohelpmitigatethespreadofCOVID-19,studentsweresplitintotwoseparateclassesandanonlineandface-to-faceblendedlearningcurriculumwasimplemented.Asthenumberofstudentsroseto62in2022,thenumberofinstructorsintheprogramwasincreasedby2andanewdualpatternclassblendwasdeveloped.Thispaperreportsonhowtheprogramhasbeenimplementedoverthepastthreeandahalfyearswithafocusonthechangesinteachingmethods.Keywordshighschool-universitycollaborativeclass,EFLpedagogy,Englishproficiency,teachingmaterials,teacherroles
