Times Higher Education (THE), a British higher education magazine, recently released “THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025,” in which Chubu University was ranked 601+ globally (22nd in Japan). In the Chubu region, Nagoya University and Chubu University were the only two universities listed, being ranked in the fifth group of private universities.
This is the inaugural edition of THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings, which ranks universities engaged in interdisciplinary research. The ranking indicators represent each stage of the research project life cycle, which is composed of 11 items in 3 areas: inputs (funding), processes (measures of success, facilities, administrative support, promotion), and outputs (publications, research quality, reputation).
