Chubu University concluded academic exchange agreements with three universities in Vietnam: Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT), and University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University. A ceremony for the exchange of the agreements took place during the “VADX INNOVATION DAY 2025,” held in Tokyo.
The event, held on May 30, 2025, was an international innovation event that brought together businesses involved in digital transformation (DX) from both Vietnam and Japan. Distinguished guests included Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung, who was visiting Japan, and Ambassador-Designate to Japan, Pham Quang Hieu.
At the ceremony, Chubu University Vice President for International Affairs, Keiko Yanagiya, took the stage, and the agreements with Hanoi University of Science and Technology and PTIT were exchanged in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Dung and other distinguished guests.
In his speech, Deputy Prime Minister Dung mentioned his hope that universities in Vietnam and Japan have signed partnership agreements to contribute to the development of human resources in the field of DX.
With these new partnerships, Chubu University now has a total of four partner universities in Vietnam, including the existing Hue University of Agriculture and Forestry. Chubu will continue to strengthen and expand its international academic network through initiatives such as promoting student and faculty exchanges and advancing joint research.
