Peptide Research Center

Promoting advanced research on homogenous molecular catalysts for organic reactions

Molecular Catalyst Research Center

Peptide Research Center was founded in July 2011 with the aims of promoting advanced research on catalysts for organic reactions, developing innovative chemical projects, training young forces in the field, and contributing to the revitalization of local industry, as well as taking the lead in research in Japan and abroad.

The Center conducts research on catalyst design for, and applications of, asymmetric carbon-carbon bonding reactions and asymmetric oxidations, using metal and organic catalysts. Other activities of the Center include joint research projects with partners such as universities in Japan and abroad, national research institutes, and private businesses, as well as the dissemination of research achievements inside and outside the university. Additionally, the Center implements other projects necessary for achieving its goal.
